In the north-west of Greater London, north-west of Charing Cross by (16.9 km) 10.5 miles, Harrow (/ˈh roʊ/) is a town that is suburban in the London Borough of Harrow. Before inclusion in Greater London in 1965, Harrow was a Middlesex municipal borough.

Home to Harrow High School, Harrow School, and a campus of Westminster University, is Harrow. Harrow included the site of Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, which is contiguous with the centre of Harrow and sits on top of an outlying knoll.

The district to Wealdstone's north is Harrow Weald, which both were part of Harrow historically. To run to Stanmore Village from Harrow & Wealdstone, a short line called the Stanmore was used, but in 1964 this line was closed. Throughout Harrow which is state funded, manages homecare public provision is Harrow CCG.

At Harrow and Wealdstone station, trains collided killing 112 people on 8 October 1952. In Harrow's bohemian part, West Harrow, is the space called the Art Gallery & Studios of Usurp.

From "(heathen) temple" = hearg, Old English, where stands St. Mary's Church which was on Harrow's hill, comes Harrow's name. Facts which root Harrow's importance as a business place and a meeting place, before 1716, Pinner and much of Kenton were Harrow parts.

Close to St Anne's shopping centre is Harrow bus station and Harrow on the Hill. The MPS (territorial police force in Greater London) patrol Harrow borough. From injuries received in an accident near Harrow, Thomas Port died on 7 August 1838.
